It’s that time of year to take an inventory of the envelope of your house.
-Roof, eavestroughs and downspouts. Check attic for roof leaks. Ensure good drainage away from house on all downspouts.
-Parging on foundation, inside of basement exterior walls. Look for cracks or other problems with the parging as well as any signs of moisture on inside of exterior basement walls.
-Windows. Inspect trim and caulking especially at top and base of all windows and doors.
